How to Support Learners

Niche definition is often the most challenging part of this challenge. Learners frequently choose niches that are either too broad ("gaming") or too personal to have a wider audience. Help them find the sweet spot by asking: can you name five existing creators in this niche? If not, it may be too narrow. Can you name more than fifty? It may be too broad. The goal is a niche specific enough to stand out and large enough to have a real audience.

What to Look For

Strong responses will show that the niche, voice and visual identity are coherent with each other. A gaming channel with a minimalist pastel brand identity is inconsistent. A cooking channel with an aggressive font and neon colours needs justification. The strongest brands have a clear logic connecting every element.

Differentiation Opportunities

Support: Focus on niche definition and voice guide only. Provide a brand identity template in Canva. Extension: Research how MrBeast's brand has evolved since his earliest videos and identify the specific decisions that created the visual consistency his channel is now known for. What stayed the same and what changed?
